Arrival by car:

The Thuringian Forest Chalets are located in the Goldlauter district of Suhl – at an altitude of approximately 700 meters, in a quiet location on the mountain and directly adjacent to the forest. Your GPS address: Geiersberg 1074, 98528 Suhl.

By car, drive along the "Geiersberg" road almost to the top. Shortly before the highest point, you will pass the Waldschenke restaurant – the chalets are located on the same side of the road on a spacious plot bordered by arborvitae trees.

You can park directly on the property (2 parking spaces) – ideal for convenient unloading – or in the public hiking parking lot above (plenty of space, short distances). The access road and parking areas are cleared throughout the winter. Due to the mountainous location, we still recommend winter tires.

A wallbox is available for guests with electric cars (please let us know if you require it).

Arrival by train:

The destination train station is Suhl. From there, you can easily reach the chalets by taxi or your own vehicle. We are happy to assist you with taxi arrangements upon request, ensuring your arrival is as relaxed as your stay.
